1. Who we are

YourAirCon ("we", "us") operates this website and a free quote-matching service connecting homeowners and businesses with independent air conditioning installers in the United Kingdom and the United States. We are the data controller for the personal information described in this policy. Contact: hello@youraircon.com.

2. What we collect

When you request a quote we collect the details you enter in the form: your name, phone number, email address, postcode or ZIP code, and information about your property and the work you want (property type, size, rooms to cool). We also collect basic technical data generated by visiting any website, such as IP address and browser type, through our hosting provider's logs.

3. How we use your information

We use your details for one purpose: to match your enquiry with one independent local installer and pass your details to them so they can contact you about your quote. We may also use your contact details to confirm your enquiry, follow up on whether you were contacted, and respond to questions you send us. We do not use your details for unrelated marketing, and we do not sell them to data brokers or add you to third-party mailing lists.

4. Who we share your information with

The installer we match you with. Sharing your details with one independent installer is the entire purpose of the service — this happens when you submit the form. Once shared, that installer processes your details as an independent business under its own privacy obligations. We may receive a fee for this referral.

Service providers. We use third-party providers to run the website and store enquiries (hosting and database infrastructure). They process data on our instructions and cannot use it for their own purposes.

We may also disclose information where required by law.

5. Legal basis (UK & EU visitors)

We process your enquiry details on the basis of taking steps at your request before you enter a contract with an installer (UK GDPR Article 6(1)(b)) and our legitimate interest in operating the referral service (Article 6(1)(f)). You provide your details voluntarily; without them we cannot match you with an installer.

6. How long we keep it

We keep enquiry records for as long as needed to operate the service, resolve disputes and meet legal obligations, and then delete or anonymise them. You can ask us to delete your details at any time (see below).

7. Your rights

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access the personal information we hold about you, correct it, delete it, restrict or object to its processing, and receive a copy in a portable format. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@youraircon.com. UK residents can complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ico.org.uk). California residents may have rights under the CCPA/CPRA, including the right to know and delete; note that passing your details to the installer you asked to be matched with is done at your direction.

8. Cookies

This website does not set advertising or cross-site tracking cookies. Our hosting infrastructure may set strictly necessary cookies required to serve the site.

9. Security

Enquiries are transmitted over HTTPS and stored with access controls. No system is perfectly secure, but we limit access to your details to what the service requires.

10. Children

The service is for adults arranging work on their property. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18.

11. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The version published on this page applies to information collected while it is live.
