Terms of Service

1. About YourAirCon
YourAirCon ("we", "us") operates a free quote-matching and referral service. When you submit an enquiry through this website, we pass your details to one independent air conditioning installation business ("installer") that covers your area, so they can contact you to arrange a survey and quote. Using the service is free for you and creates no obligation to accept any quote.
2. What we are β and what we are not
We are a lead generation and referral service only. We are not an air conditioning installation contractor. We do not sell, design, supply, install, service, repair, inspect or supervise air conditioning systems or any other works, and we do not provide technical, financial or professional advice. Nothing on this website constitutes a quote, survey, specification or recommendation for your specific property.
3. Independent installers
Every installer we refer enquiries to is an independent business. Installers are not our employees, agents, subcontractors or partners, and we have no control over their work, scheduling, pricing or conduct. Any survey, quote, contract, warranty or installation is provided solely by the installer. Any contract you enter into is between you and the installer alone β we are not a party to it and are not responsible for its performance.
4. No endorsement or guarantee
Installers must meet certain requirements to join our network (for example holding the certifications and insurance their jurisdiction requires, such as F-Gas certification in the UK or EPA Section 608 certification in the US). However, we do not and cannot guarantee any installer's credentials, availability, workmanship, pricing or compliance at the time of your job. You should verify certifications, licensing and insurance directly with the installer before agreeing to any work, and satisfy yourself that they are suitable.
5. Cost information on this website
Prices, cost ranges and rebate or tax-credit figures published on this website are general market estimates provided for guidance only. They are not quotes or offers, may be out of date, and the price you are quoted by an installer may differ significantly. Always rely on a written quote following a site survey.
6. How we make money
The service is free for homeowners and businesses requesting quotes. We may receive a fee from installers for enquiries we refer to them. This does not affect the price you pay.
7. Your responsibilities
You agree to provide accurate information in your enquiry, to only submit enquiries on your own behalf (or with the authority of the property owner), and not to use the service for any unlawful purpose or to harvest information about installers.
8. Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we accept no liability for any loss or damage arising from work carried out (or not carried out) by an installer, from your reliance on general information published on this website, or from any dealings between you and an installer. Nothing in these terms excludes or limits liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law, including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or fraud. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory consumer rights against the installer who carries out your work.
9. Visitors in the United States
The service operates in both the United Kingdom and the United States. If you use the service in the US, references to certification and licensing mean the requirements of your state and federal law (including EPA Section 608), and the installer who contacts you is an independent contractor licensed in its own name.
10. Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time. The version published on this page at the time you use the service is the version that applies.
11. Governing law
For users in the United Kingdom, these terms are governed by the laws of England and Wales. For users in the United States, they are governed by the laws of your state of residence to the extent required by that state's consumer law.
